The pastel colour, lined pads have been glued to thick metallic cardstock cut to size plus extra for the flap. Simply crease the flap twice (size = volume of pad), fold over the top and embellish the flap.
I belong to a small group of friends who are also ex work colleagues. We meet occasionally either for a "girls night in" or to spend a weekend at a place outside town. Recently when we met at a hill resort called Matheran, I took these open notepads as gifts for "the ole gang".
Matheran was discovered by the then District Collector of
Thane - Sir Mallet in 1850. It is situated 800 m (2,625 feet) above sea level
and is the nearest hill station from Bombay.
A very popular mini train or toy train links Matheran to the broad gauge
railway station of Neral. This train covers a distance of 21 kms. and takes you
through dense forest. Matheran is an
eco-sensitive region and is one of the few places in the world where vehicles
are not allowed, which makes the place different from others. From the point you disembark, you proceed
onwards on foot or by pony. The climate is cool and pleasant with a beautiful
lake & many scenic points like the one below.
