A few bookmarks I made recently.

Simone's birthday

Today is our daughter's birthday.  I made this card and bookmark for her to enclose with the Tailoring Book we sent her as a gift.  Simone lives in the UK.  A few months ago she expressed a wish to learn tailoring.  As a little girl, she would often sit at one end of my sewing machine - the kind that has a wooden extension you can pull up for laying out fabric to cut.  I was delighted to know she wanted my old notes and I made her a Tailoring Journal.  At that time, my blog did not exist and I just did not think to take a photo of the journal.  Now I wish I had.

The paper and label are from Papermania UK.  I sketched the perfume bottle
and wrote out the Coco Chanel quote.

Simone is beautiful and classy.  She loves to dress and was always good at designing clothes even when she was very young.  This is a recent photo of her.

Simple Bookmarks 2

 

Here is a bookmark I've made for my son, Shawn.  I'd kept this pic aside especially for him.  I have a fondness for owls, not just because they look so cute but for what they symbolise.

Stamps on the right side one is Fiskar's.  Sorry, I can't quite place which set I used.  I went crazy and made so many.

 

 

 

It's still time for Christmas but couldn't resist using the little robin pic.  Other than that, the little creatures are stickers I purchased from the annual Thai Exhibition that is held each September in our city.  They have just one craft booth and this year they actually had a few rubber stamps but no stamp pads.  Rubber Stamping is still, vastly, an unknown craft here so I don't blame them for not making the effort to bring in that stock.  The stamps used above are from Papertreyink's All Booked Up set which my daughter, Simone so thoughtfully picked up while on a business trip to New York.

Simple Bookmarks

Hello everyone,

First of all, many thanks to all you wonderful people out there for your compliments, your kindness and your support. I am overwhelmed by the comments I've received since last evening. The time difference between our countries does not permit me to reply to all of you immediately so please bear with me.

Today I'm showing you some very simple bookmarks I made using scraps from my stash.

 

Used my scallop circle punch for the above two.

The strawberries are stickers.
