Recycled Wine Bottles

Hello again

Took a break from paper and card making this season to work on some old wine/alcohol bottles.

First the rum bottle...  tried acrylic gold paint as did not have any gold colour in glass paint and was impatient to start working on it.   It adhered but did not look good.  Then a  crafty friend advised me to put on a layer of Mod Podge and after it dried to paint over it again.  It worked beautifully.  The image is from an old Barbara Cartland book.

Pairing it with the second bottle....used gold paper doilies for embellishment.

and the last one....I call it the Fall Leaves bottle....love the black opaque glass paint.  I cut out the maple leaves from a sheet of paper, stuck them on the bottle and then edged them with gold glass liner.

All bottles given a final coat of Matt Mod Podge.

Thanks for visiting.
